HOLY BIBLE
God Promises to Listen to Our Prayers (1st Peter 3:12)
if you ever have felt like God doesn't listen to your prayers if you feel like your prayers are hitting the ceiling and he like I don't even know if God is hearing this then today's promise is for you
welcome to the prayers of Wrath podcast I'm your host ashrita choose you and this season we're resting in the promises of God specifically today we're praying through God's promise to listen to our prayers so as we begin take a deep breath and quiet your heart as we become aware of God loving presence around us and within us
today's reading comes from 1st Peter 3:12 for the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their prayers
let's begin by reciting God's goodness praising him for who he is and for what he's done in our lives
Heavenly Father you are so kind and so gracious to have your eyes on us to have your ears open to us I thank you that you listen to my prayer
even as I think about this first at that your eyes are on the righteous I'm still aware that my righteousness is not for myself that it comes from Jesus
so I think you this morning for the righteousness of Jesus for his perfect perfect life and perfect and perfect Resurrection
that because of him all we believe in him are made right with you
and because of his ministry as our high priest in intercessor we can come to you
thank you that when you look at your children it is not our own Good Deeds our own righteousness that you see with a perfect righteousness of Jesus Christ and that because of him you hear me when I cry out to you
so in the next few moments
take time to recite God's goodness
Praise Him for being the God who hears our prayers are being the one who welcomes you to talk to him this morning this day regardless of what you've done in the last 10 days he is the god who receives you
but now we move on to express our neediness and this time for us to confess our need for God or need for his forgiveness for his grace a time to bring our burdens to the Lord and tell him what is on her heart because he wants to hear it
still got it as we remember just the awesome and wonderful privilege of coming to you with our prayers the reminder that you are the God who hears and sees and feels listen to our prayers that I am so convicted of my own prayerlessness
who else having been offered a gift of high-value would place it in a corner and forget about it and ignore it and yeah
I see in myself a tendency to put off prayer to leave it for a time when I have more time
I cried with you forgive me for
only Venus of spirit forgive me for this counting the gift of your presence the invitation to come to take you anytime and anywhere
John the next few moments I invite you to express your neediness to God confess your sins to him cast your cares on him confidence that he hears you he receives you
cast of Jesus Christ he forgives you
 come to him now
so we move now
 seek is stillness
this is a time for us to be quiet
actually listen if there's anything God wants to say to us God promises to listen to our prayers this is our invitation to listen to him so in the next few moments I invite you to tell God all that is on your heart continue that conversation with him and then be still and listen is there anything that God wants to say to you today
 finally let's trust God's faithfulness
this is our time to remember that God is who he said he is and he will do what he said he will do in the world and in your life 2
so God I praise you that you are the unchanging God that you are the same yesterday today and forever
the Lord the Lord is merciful and compassionate and kind to a thousand Generations forgiving sins because of Jesus the Alpha and Omega we have free access to you not just a hundred good days not even just on the bad days but even on her worst most terrible day God you still listen to our prayers he still receive us because of Jesus
so God we trust you and that we trust you when we feel like our prayers are hitting the ceiling we trust you when we don't feel like we trust you when our emotions are making us feel like we are all alone like nobody sees and nobody hears and nobody cares God we trust your promise we are standing firm on your promise that you are The God Who says that your eyes are honest and your ears are open to us and I don't choose to trust that when our own Hearts would tell us something different we will trust
the promise of your faithfulness that you do not change even when we do
in the next few moments I invite you to stay that to God thank God I trust you
I trust that you are listening to my prayers
have a good day is it on the hard when I feel like you are and when I feel like you're not I trust you were promised
that you will listen when I cramped you so say that to him now
now to him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy to the only God our savior be glory and Majesty power and authority through Jesus Christ Our Lord
 before all generations
 now and forever more
 amen
