While Paul was a prisoner in Rome, he still got to preach and teach. He did it with confidence and no one told him to stop. That is really incredible that even while he was a prisoner, he was able to spread the gospel. Paul was a prisoner and instead of wallowing in self-pity or despair, he recognized that he could still glorify God in the situation. Sometimes our situation may seem bleak. Why would God allow this to happen to us? We can glorify God in every situation. There is no situation that you will face that God cannot be glorified in. Wherever you find yourself, no matter how hard the circumstance, seek to glorify God.

Loving and Almighty God, forgive my excuses and my fear. Please make me bold to share your saving truth in the Gospel. May all who know me also come to know more about Jesus through me! In his precious name I pray. Amen.
