HOLY BIBLE
Joy comes with the morning (Psalm 30:4-5)
hello my friends Carrie green here again it is time for the morning mindset I hope you're ready to get your mind aligned with the truth of God today. Obviously I don't know what's going on in your morning and in your day and your kind of day whatever time you listen that's when it occurred to take a moment just take a deep breath
get yourself ready to hear the word of God and more than hear it to receive it to let the truth that we're about to read penetrate your soul
we want these morning mindset to have an impact on you because it is the word of God not because of anything I might say but because God's word is powerful and it can transform your life and today we're going to be looking at Psalm chapter 13 verses 4 to 5 so if you have a Bible handy and can get that out encourage you to do so
and if you are the type to study a little more deeply than these morning mindset the lot we have a companion Journal that's available for the morning nights at now I'll be real honest with you with a bunch of blank pages with some prompts to teach you ways to think of the scripture to meditate on it to even sketch out things based on what you see that might help you to get more richness out of the Devi devotional that you're hearing you can find that in the description for the episode that you're listening to right now right Psalm chapter 13 verses 4 through 5 is going to keep us going on this track of studying Joy from the scriptures Psalm 34 through 5 says sing praises to the Lord OU his Saints and give thanks to His holy name for his anger is but for a moment and his favor is for a lifetime weeping may tarry for the night but joy comes with the morning
as you can see I'm title this episode Joy comes with the morning because that's what the song says but we need to unpack a little bit what does that actually mean why is that an encouraging thing to us the notice first of all David is encouraging those who know the Lord to sing praises to Him He calls us his Saints now you may have grown up in Tradition where the Saints are these dead people who are like like heroes in the church and they may even have some sort of spiritual power in that religious circles that you've run into it that's not the biblical description of what a saint is the biblical description of a saint is anyone who has placed their faith in Jesus Christ so that means if you place your faith in Jesus Christ you qualify you are a saint of God and you as a saint of God one who's been received and his family are to sing praises to the Lord your God
Thanks To His holy name is David says here and why would you do that well first of all because he's made you a think he has redeemed you for the curse of your sin and your your stagnation in life and he's giving you a new lease on life and first five continues on his has for his anger is but for a moment but his favor is for a lifetime so friends when we enter into the family of God by becoming a saint to our faith in Jesus Christ we become people of favor in God's eyes he looks on us with favor his anger toward us is gone he poured it all out all at the cross on his son Jesus and now we reside in a status of favor with God the father and he says weeping may tarry for the night so there was a time there even is a time as Believers when we are to meet with a morning person would be sorrowful about the things we've done
but God says because he comes in and he makes us since he redeems us and he transforms our sorrow into joy that Joy comes with the morning
I think it is using a picture of the morning
at the time of Hope as a as a Bright Horizon we're looking to that it's a bit dark it's felt a dismal it's still cold and depressing but we see on the horizon the glimmer of hope starting to rise enjoy is on the way because our God has redeemed Our God has dealt with our sin and we are able to come out of our failure and out of our times of Sorrow over it to see him as our savior in as our King friends Joy comes with the morning in other words Joy comes when we recognize that God has given us all the help we need for life and he has filled us with the goodness that comes from receiving his son is our savior and being cleansed our scent and placed into a place of favor with the god of creation
well. Remind us of this over and over and over throughout life we need it because circumstances and difficulties come up and it causes us to doubt it causes us to fear it causes us to get caught up in the broiled in the stress of life rather than to see all of our problems really have been solved because our sin sickness has been dealt with by the power of Jesus Christ Joy does come with a morning Lord help us to walk in that Joy everyday helps to do so today that others may see it and be drawn to you we ask it in the name of Jesus our savior amen
