HOLY BIBLE
Blessings for mercy (Matthew 5:7)
hello my friends welcome back to the morning nights at once again hope you're doing well as removing into this brand new year I hope you're ready today to get your mind online with the truth of God as we're going through our study in The Sermon on the Mount which is contained in Matthew's five six and seven we are going to be looking at Matthew 5:7 today verse number seven and I am excited to get into the topic today but before we get there I have some good news you may remember if you been listening the morning mindset that I have asked you to pray with me that we can get the morning Monday into every country of the world and it's certain point I focused specifically on Africa cuz there are quite a few countries there where the morning my said was not being heard and I've noticed on my math this morning some of those countries where the morning mine that was not being heard it is now being hurt and we're actually down to just three African countries that do not have any listenership for the morning mindset that Tamira tenia Western Sahara
and the Central African Republic to ask you do you know anyone in any of those countries who serves as a missionary or someone who works there lives there could you share the morning mindset with them so that we can spread the morning mindset into every country on the globe thanks so much alright let's look at Matthew 5:7 is Jesus is speaking here to his disciples into the crowd he's laying out the principles that govern the Kingdom of Heaven that's really what The Sermon on the Mount is all about and you Matthew 5:7 he says something that seems pretty intuitive and makes a lot of sense on the surface but then as we start digging into it I think we're going to find some richness there that we may be didn't expect Matthew 5:7 says blessed are the merciful
 for they shall receive Mercy
but like I said on the human level the sound very common sense if I'm merciful to other people they'll be merciful in return I mean at least that's what we expect and what we think what happened to listen to history from of it this is Jesus the king over the Kingdom of Heaven who sang this is a mindset and a a piece of the DNA of how the Kingdom of Heaven operates blessed are the merciful so those people who show Mercy as a regular course in their lives there 12 we're not quick to judge not quick to think the worst of others but rather are reaching out to people in Mercy trying to appeal to them to come to the king and come into the kingdom those people are going to be blessed people in the implication is that that's part of how the kingdom Works blessing comes to people who are merciful
and it says specifically the end of the verse how that blessing is going to come to them it says for they shall receive mercy and the application is the king is the one who's going to give them that Mercy this is going to come from God through Jesus Mercy to those who show Mercy
stop for a moment and think about why Mercy is so important
any judgment is a reality it's part of the character got to be the judge of the righteous judge of all that is and he expects us has his people to have a mindset and a perspective on life that views good and evil as good and evil you see we're not to mix those up and make the black and the white more gray we are to see very truthfully just like my seats yet God demonstrates for us this characteristic of mercy and I think the reason we as citizens of the kingdom are to be merciful people is because the king himself is merciful we are to express his heart to those that we reach out to to those that we interact with to those who do us wrong we often are to express Mercy instead of Retribution or confrontation in this really is all a matter of being led by the spirit of God isn't it because Jesus himself demonstrated during his play Life
times Where Mercy was not called for
confrontation was called for a sword of judgment was called for and only the spirit of God can lead us wisely to know what each situation needs it's a friend's I want to encourage you first talk to think through your own life
do you regularly portray yourself as a merciful person and are you merciful for the sake of the king being seen as merciful
let's pray together that our God will give us eyes to see exactly how they should apply to our lives
more. Needless to see Mercy for what it is first off to see your mercy to us in all of its Splendor and all the blessing that it that comes to us in it by the we want our hearts to be hearts that reflect you and therefore our attitude and demeanor toward others to reflect you and you say that Mercy is a thing that brings Blessing by bringing your mercy into our lives aboard we all want any more of your mercy solar guide us to be citizens of the kingdom of demonstrate that might in the majesty and the mercy of our King we want you to be lifted high so that the world will see the Kingdom of Heaven is worse being a part of what we ask it in Jesus name amen
