HOLY BIBLE
Don't Care About Fools Around You (Proverbs 27:3,22)
hello my friends are welcome back I hope it is not weird to you that I continually refer to you as a friend I see all the lizards in the morning went to ask friends because we are united in Jesus Christ We Are One in him we're actually closer than friends were brothers were sisters in the faith and we are moving in the same direction especially here in the morning mites as we work together to align our minds with you too. Today we're going to hear some more words from Solomon from The Book of Proverbs chapter 27 fools and foolishness and these are lessons for us to learn but before we get there I want to just be very honest with you I was not offensive to you when I asked you if you are fully consider partnering financially with me with my wife in the things were doing through the morning mindset and her sister podcast God-fearing kids and the parents who raised them it's a small commitment we're asking $5 a month to $10 a month whatever you can afford to help us
re-up the time basically to do the kinds of things we do in the morning mindset and Beyond it's our desire to do this full-time at some point and we believe the Lord would have us do that at all kinds of things in my videos that I can produce in various things but I'm just taking it step at a time allowing the Lord to guide through the partnership responses we received so if you're interested please check the links in this episode for more details on how to become a partner or 2-day Proverbs 27 3 reads this way a stone is heavy Jack we all get that a stone is heavy and sand is weighty right we understand that sand in quantity is heavy but a Fool's provocation is heavier than both
then we better to find out where provocation was at me when someone is provoked it means something is done that kind of raises their ire it gets them angry okay so this phrase fools provocation is heavier than both could mean one of two things could mean when you provoke a fool you're going to get this massive response that is maybe even out of proportion with the thing that that happened or it could be the fool provoking you that feels very happy because it's just move since you're having to deal with when you really should be about better things now I think my Solomon tells us this is because he's warning us he's cautioning us not to be that fool to be careful about how we respond when people's behavior
tends to provoke our anchor we need to be careful we need to have a moderate response we need to beat calm and patient and understanding that's what a humble attitude like that of Our Savior Jesus would do in us but we also need to be careful that we are not provoking others who are foolish Behavior through the things we ask of them that really aren't needed things of that nature by verse 22 speaks of people's again it says crush a fool in a mortar and pestle along with Crush grain get his folly will not depart from it and you got to know what a mortar and pestle is you've probably seen images of this it's a it's a bowl with a big Hollow spot in the top of it and a pestle is a handheld crushing device that is shaped the same as a concave surface of the top of that bowl until you put grain in it and you crush it with this pistol in the mortar
and so that's the imagery that someone's given us anything if you were to put a fool in that mortar along with your grain and you crush him down to dust down to the flower like you do with grain his folly his foolishness will not depart from him now that's a pretty pessimistic view isn't it but the points on is trying to make is the foolishness is an inbred thing it's deep down in the soul of a person and it's next to impossible to get it out but thank God we have a savior we have a God who makes all things new and transforms so if you look at yourself and you wonder are you even suspect am I fool in many ways are the things I do that are are foolish you can in all humility turn to the Lord God and repentance ask him to make you new
and ask him to guide you into a place that's better wiser more mature in your face and if you know someone who you would say fits into that category of a fool this verse is not intended to make you give up hope this verse is intended to show you what you're up against in praying for that person and to give you the seriousness and diligence to trust the Lord greatly in your prayers that person
Lord Jesus I think we all could say we know fools we we know people who have been fools in our lives and all of us were honest have been that fool at some point or we ask you to refine the foolishness out of us and to do your Mighty liberating work of releasing fools from their Folly and enabling them to be strong and people Integrity people of wisdom who represent you well in this world Lord I think of our loved ones who fall into that category and we asked you Jesus to liberate them
in your name we pray in for the sake of your kingdom and Glory I meant
